Of all the projects, this one has stumped me the most. I feel there there are a lot of ways to do animation and real life videos combined and I want to make sure I pick something fun, easy but detailed enough, and true to me. Since this is one of our longer projects, I feel like if I don't pick something fun I will have an extremely hard time trying to finish or focus on it. So, some of my inspiration for animation is sort of like Cartoon Network style shows, Studio Ghibli movies, and anime TV/movies. All these styles are highly detailed, and I think it would be hard to attempt to copy them in the amount of time given (and my experience given.) But, I figured maybe I could mix in some underlying themes and looks. I really don't know how the end product will look.
- My first idea is: Maybe a school or study scenario where I doze off daydreaming or sleeping. Then, a flash of scenes that come from my favorite anime and Studio Ghibli. It is sort of like a transition between the scenes like trying to blend into them, like I am adventuring through them. And then finally at the end of the scenes maybe a fighting scene and I wake up from that? Maybe in reality something rustles in real life and wakes me.
*** The only issue with this is that it may take some really detailed animating and the animation may not take up a lot of time on the video because of the detail. It will also take a lot of time and skill to complete as well.
- My second idea: Maybe do a scene where I am playing Animal Crossing on my Switch and I somehow transition into the player animated in the Animal Crossing style. (Probably also a "fall asleep into the daydream or dream" transition). This includes all the actions that you would do in the game like animating seashell picking, tree shaking, taking to my favorite villagers, digging things up, decorating my house, etc.. Then, a transition back to real life (probably a "wake-up") and back to playing on my switch.
*** This one seems easier and less detailed, but I am a little less passionate about this one. Still, I think I may end up going with this one.
