I am unsure of how to approach this project, but after some thinking I decided I would like to incorporate nature/elemental involved (water, fire crackling, etc.) with higher pitched/lighter sounds to create a peaceful and calming experience. I think it would be especially interesting to see if I could even try to mess with the pitch and effects enough on a loud and jarring sound clip to transform it into something softer and lighter that could be incorporated into my project. Looking through the sound folder, I see some references to animals, wind, and other elements. I myself recorded some clips of water sizzling and some interesting sounding clanks of metal soda cans.

I think incorporating some glass sounds would be a nice touch as well, as glass usually has a dainty and light sound. The story I would like to try to tell with my sounds would be wandering into different relaxing landscapes where certain combinations of sounds go off at different times with a minor pause in-between to differentiate them. I don't know if it will get much more specific than that, as it seems kind of hard to convey one exact idea. However, I am open to taking this idea and running with it if I see a specific scenario that can be described

An example of a calming, peaceful element, water.

(EX: the idea of sitting in the rain while you wait for the bus to come, etc. It will just depend on what kind of sound clips everyone uploads.) While I have used Ableton before, that was with the intention of making music with melody. I am new to creating an entire soundscape/experience but I am excited because it will allow you to see patterns and melody in a different way without sounding conventionally popular or like something you would hear on the radio.
